Elizabeth's will is on file at Bedford, Penn. (see below) as well as many land transactions. A farm was bought in trust for her when she became a widow. It was located in the Ox-Bow Bend of the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River between Hopeswell and Everett. She died in Hopewell, Penn. but the location of her grave is unknown. |

In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth Zink, widow, this fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fouteen, of Hopewell Township, Bedford Coundy and State of Pennsylvania, being weak in body but sufficiently sound in mind and memory by the grace of God and considering the time of my departure from this mortal life near at hand holding in my lawful claim sundry goods to be disposed of as follows. Now I the aforesaid Elizabeth Zink by the grace of God being sufficiently sound in mind and memory do make and confirm this my last will and testament, Viz, first after my decease my body to be decently buried and after all my lawful debts of funeral expenses are paid, I desire to dispose of my personal property as follows, Item I give and bequeath unto my son Enoch one dollar, Item I give and bequeath unto my son William two sheep, Item I give and bequeath unto my Samuel two dollars, Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter, Hannah all my wearing appearal, Item I give and bequeath unto my son John two dollars, Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph three dollars, Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Joseph How a good feather bed, and the remainder is to be equally divided between my six above mentioned children and my brother, Joseph How, And in order that this my last Will and testament may be executed according to the full extent and meaning thereof I the said Elizabeth Zink do hereby nominate and appoint my sons William and Samuel Zink my true and lawful executors vested with all necessary authority to attend to and execute each and every part in this my last will and testament mentioned or intended so to be, and , I do hereby nominate and appint my brother Joseph How to make and convey a sufficient and lawful deed of the land and plantation to the Executors above mentioned within sixty days after my decease. In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed by her mark, Elizabeth Zink Her will was filed and registered the 3rd day of February, A.D. 1814: Be it remembered that on the 3rd day of Feburary A D. 1814 Letters were granted to William Zink and Samuel Zink, Excecutors in the foregoing Will of Elizabeth Zink, mentioned they have been first duly sworn according to the law. |
